Holtasel in January

Holtasel landscape

Me and my family, my wife and two of my boys, went to our farm in Hornafjörður in January. It is about 400 km. drive from Reykjavik, at the east coast of the country. The drive can be tricky over the winter, when you can expect all kinds of weather. The weather can change rapidly from fair to very bad, so that you have to go very slowly or even can't travel at all. There was snow and ice on the roads, but not to much, and it was alright to drive in good weather. We arrived to Hornafjörður at Friday.

We stopped there over the weekend, and all that time it was a beautiful weather. I took some photos of my boys and the landscape, the photos taken this time, came out just beautiful, and are among the best photos I have ever taken. On Saturday it was totally clear sky and still weather, on Sunday it was a bit cloudy but still beautiful and calm. My boys where participating in the farming, and playing in the nature with the dog Lappi, and the Horses of course. The drive back to Reykjavik on Sunday night was not so bad, as the weather was nice.

I will be posting more soon, stop by to see a glimpse of Iceland.
